THERE'S SOMETHING STUCK IN MY BRAIN

I always wonder why I blog. I always wonder why people blog for. Me personally, it's a way to get my "private thoughts" out of my head, yet that is ironic because it's possible for half the world to read it. It's something you want people to read, and yet you don't.

Oh yeah, i'm doing this quiz bowl gameshow the week after easter. I'm teamed up with 2 other ppl. Both are smart, one is my "rival" in school, so it seems. as a whole, we're all geeks, so we'll probably kick the crap out of the other students. prize is some entertainment pack w/ some gc's to some music place i think, maybe a restaurant gc, perfect for geeks like us. oh well, at least bragging rights are included.

HELLO, MY NAME IS SCOTT AND I NEED A JOB

I had an interview for a summer job today. Went okay, wasn't really a yes or no interview, just a formality.

Hey, guess what? Today my mom actually let me drive on the freeway today! yeah! Now, if I could only stop the constant yelling in my only ear...

THE TRUE SIGN OF NOT A BOY, BUT A MAN

Tonight I attended a ceremony to honor a fellow scout. The Eagle Court of Honor recognized a scout (in this case it was two scouts, a scout and his brother) for his hard work in attaining the rank of Eagle. Out of all Americans, only 1% of 1/3 of the population of males earn it. What an achievement. I was proud that this ceremony was for a part of scouting that I can proudly say I earned. I was proud to sit with the other Eagle scouts and congratulate these two. I was proud that they too can share in a part of scouting that I will never forget.

CONGRATULATIONS DONALD AND CHRIS!!!!!!!

RANDOM ORGANIZATION

I seem to be becoming haphazardly organized lately. What's that supposed to mean? go figure...

Lots of stuff happened today. Went to Concord driving in my nearly robotic style (though i had to slap myself for going 66! GASP!) Drove around the DMV there since i'm taking my test in a few weeks. No scary larry this time. Came back, did homework, left @ like 5 for a church Missionary Conference. Here I am now.

I seem to be getting more and more spam in my email box. I get like 2 an hour! it's crazy! I HATE SPAM!!! It's annoying and stupid. And when I try to report it, I seem to get more! Oh yeah, I hate SPAM too. It's salty, it smells, and it's in a can. It's so salty it can peak your BP. As a matter of fact, SPAM is so bad for you that even the caloriemeters got fat just analyzing it! Anyways, that spam i don't have to deal with. The latter, spsh.

I devised a new way to stop me from being late for school on weekday mornings. I set my alarm bed clock exactly 9 minutes ahead of the correct time. Not 10 so I can easily disregard it and know the real time even when unconscious, and not 8 which still isn't enough extra time. It's all about 9 minutes. So now when I wake up at supposedly the regular time, it's actually 9 minutes earlier. Just hope my body doesn't eventually change that and use those 9 minutes to sleep in. I'm late enough with Chinese time and all already, sheesh.

100 THINGS ABOUT ME (#41-50)

44. NO, i don't own a cell phone.
45. I had like 4 surgeries when I was about 6 to fix my ear.
46. I snore...i think
47. The person I talk to the most is myself.
48. I'm running out of things about me.
49. I consume excessive amounts of soy
50. hah, i made it to 50

MY PARENTS ARE CONFUSING

Yeah, i kno this is a very frequent saying for teens, but I never understood it until now.

I'm driving tonight on the freeway. It's sort've a treat since my mom freaks out whenever I drive on the freeway, let alone mention the word freeway. so i assume it's all cool with my dad. but he only lets me go 65 mph. not one mph faster. i'm looking in my rearview mirror and the guy behind me gives me this look...one that scarred me for life. and then when the i was making a right turn when a light turned yellow, he freaked out. okay, maybe i was going a bit fast, but definitely not excessively, and definitely not out-of-control fast. heh, and about my mom, though she's freaked out about me and the freeway, she keeps telling me to keep up with the speed of traffic and tells me "GO FASTER!" you can see why i'm so confused. forget me. i'll be the robot that caters to everyone's needs.
---
100 THINGS ABOUT ME (#31-40)

LIFE REFLECTIONS
An E-soliloqy
by scott jung

Lot's of people think I'm perfect.
I've got the best grades
Highest honors, excellent leadership
It's good and all
But I'm not perfect.

Though I'm proud of all these blessings,
I'm not perfect, not at all.
There were and still are relationships that I regret are too casual
Events in my past that I wish I could relive
Times where I regret what I said, or what I didn't say.

My stuck-up-ness has shown its consequences,
My shyness has taught me a lesson.
There are people that I wanted to be great friends with
But will not be
Because I didn't bother to say more than "hello"
I regret it all.

My prayer is this, dear Lord,
Even beyond the 4.0's, the honor rolls, and all the praise
Help ME to be a friend
Help ME to say those words
Let me not be ashamed, scared, shut-up
Bring back those people
So that I can begin a new and fresh relationship
And let me regret my future, like I did my past.

LIVE FROM VCS

I'm bloggin remotely right now from my desk in Japanese class. Reason is that I'm totally bored since this is an EP day and I have like 15 minutes left of class after finishing a Japanese test and also I might now have time to blog when I get home. Mr. Diehl is looking in awe of my foldable keyboard... speaking of test, the Japanese test I just took was pretty good. I only blanked during the last two sections. Of course, the past few tests hae been "good" and I barely get by with an A on them. I'll find out in a week when we get them back.

Tomorrow is going to be so crazy. I've got lots of tests and homework and projects. The weekend doesn't look and better with a missionary conference @ church, i'm going to scope out the area around the Concord DMV, and I have some projects to finish. ugh...

looking around, matt, andrew, shig, and alex are playing games on their TI-83's. Heh, mine won't even link nemore, i don't kno why. A few ppl are still finishing their test... i don't blame them.

Now that war has begun, gas prices will shoot up, stocks will fall, and we'll sit back like one giant happy family. hope computer parts go down because I am THIS CLOSE to putting my new one together.

Hey, we're all through with tests.

I don't have much more to talk about, right now 85 minutes of World History is all i'm thinking about. seems like all hell is breaking loose right now...

KLINGONS DO NOT PROCRASTINATE

Hmm, that makes me...NOT A KLINGON! From last night, I accomplished only what was due today. Still have 3 projects to go. I'm hoping to get through some of it tonight so my life won't be overly-stresses this weekend. Got enough stuff the worry about.

Well, it seems that the end is finally in view in regards to learning to drive. I've done well over 50 hours (not surprised if I did 100), and my final driver's training that I scheduled in early Jan. is coming up next Friday. I'm hoping to take the test Monday, but my instructor will discourage it, so i'll probably take in the following Friday. I'm still hesitant on where to take it though. If I take it in Pleas., I'm risking getting "Scary Larry", a 50-yr old asian with a ponytail who loves flunking ppl. Heard Concord is easy, but it's near the freeway and Willow Pass Rd. I sure hope it all works out...

Hmm...I got a lot of thoughts on my mind, some I don't really want to throw-up on my blog, but they're there. Some make me extremely happy and anxious and some make me stressed. I'll just give it to God. He'll sort it all out.

100 THINGS ABOUT ME (#21-30)
21. Did I mention I was 16?
22. High school is totally boring and totally brainless.
23. I'm a victim of Gray Davis' educational budget cuts...the generation where getting out of high school is now more difficult than finding Bay Area gas for under $2! (and you thought that was impossible...)
24. I don't have a job yet but will be working at the Alameda County Fair this summer for about $9/hour.
25. I just made it a quarter of the way through the list!
26. My car is an '86 Toyota Cressida, light blue, 111,000 miles.
27. Interrobang is my new favorite word (too bad it isn't a lit. term DARNIT!)
28. I've traveled to over 15 countries on 3 continents, naming them: US, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Malta, Monaco, Russia, Spain, Sweden, England, and probably others that I forgot (i guess that's 20+ countries.)
29. Hawaii isn't the greatest vacation getaway, in my opinion (because I don't like sunbathing-type stuff all day, although Hawaii is cool)
30. I wear a shirt and tie to church EVERY week.

MARCH MADNESS

Aiyah, lots of projects, lots of homework, not enough hours in the day to do it all, not enough brain cells left to process processes. I've got a History, 2 Literature, and some other projects coming up. Like I don't already have enough to do! I probably won't have too much time this week, so i'll be posting very occasionally, though I anticipate a post either tonight or tomorrow night. BTW, i don't quite get this archiving thing, seems Blogger just takes posts whenever and places them in my archives and sometimes leaves them. figures.

Hey, tonight is the moment of truth. At 5, Pres. Bush is delivering his ultimatum. That means Saddam better "make like a breadtruck" (a bible teacher saying). We'll see what happens mid-week since that's when it'll probably begin. I'm just praying that we're following the Lord's will. What do you all think? (I'd allow comments, but don't have the capability).

READY, SET...GO!

YOUR BRAIN ON DRUGS

I have a new addiction. no, it ain't crack, coke, or mj. my mommy bought some cereal on thurs. it was honey bunches of oats. the cool part about it is that it had freeze-dried strawberries! yum yum...me want more! they melt in your mouth and has a nice crunch...hehehe. i think tomorrow i'm going to skip eating bouw (however you spell it) and take all the freeze-dried strawberries out of the bag and eat them all. YES, AN INGENIOUS PLAN!!! BWAHAHAHAHA *cough *cough.

neways, today was a busy day. i woke up at 9, ate breakfast (forgot the strawberries). i made my youth group's website, which will be revealed later, then went to lunch, after that went shopping, veg'd around more, then drove. it was the second longest trip i've driven, this time to concord. it was cool except i had to trail a camry for 10 miles which was going 55 mph. then when it finally realized that the nearest car in front of it was a mile away and that it was the head of a lane of 15 cars within 100 ft. of each other, it sped up, which i followed and my dad had to speak up bc i went over 65! sheesh! and my mom who was driving another car was waiting for us at our destination, worried, of course, but she was driving at least 80! she has so little trust i betcha she started praying for my soul to have peace up there where the birdies fly.

oh yeah, forgot to mention. i was playing Hong Kong Mahjong and had a 6-game winning streak with 5 being self-picks, YES! we should all learn to play mahjong. mahjong is the game. i love mahjong.

Okay, it's getting late. I better go to sleep now...*yawn

YOU, YEAH YOU, SIT IN THE BACK

Here I am. It's a Friday and school lets out. The majority of my friends are hanging out with each other for one of my friend's b-day, playing DDR, watching movies, and doing the cool things guys do, WHILE I SIT HERE AND MOLT!!!!! rejected ;(. He claims that his mom only let him invite a small number of ppl, but i don't think that's right, especially since he happened to invite all his good friends EXCEPT me...;( rejected. *sigh. what a cruel world we live in today. me sad...;(

also today, i forgot the most important piece of clothing...the one that my whole day revolves around...the one that gets me totally annoyed when i remember i forgot it....i was today without a watch! i felt, like, naked without it lol! everytime i needed the time, i would stare at my watchless arm, then in frustration whip out my palm, which sometimes takes a while to display the time. i realized today how often i use the small things in life, such as a simple watch.

so, with my buddy list empty and my watch in hand...er...arm, i'm ready to take on the rest of the day and move on with life...
...
...rejected...*sob ;(

CURRENTLY:
mood: no need to explain any further
non-vegetative activity: duh, it's friday! NVA's don't come until early, early Sat.

SMOKE GETS IN YOUR EYES - v.2 (re-entered)

Man, my eyes hurt. It's got to be the comp. I spent 3 hrs on it yesterday, 5 hrs, the day b4 that, and who knows how long the day b4 that. I got to cut back since it's all killing me! I'll prob. update blog once every 2-3 days, and use the comp. just for an email check, a PalmGear and Brighthand check, and of course my daily entry to win a Tablet PC from Microsoft. I need to devote more time for piano and schoolwork. it's going to be tough next year. My proposed schedule looks like this:

US History AP
Chapel Leadership
English Language/Composition AP (I hope)
Pre-Calculus Honors
Physics AP
Graphic Design
Weight Training

With possibly 3 AP courses and 1 honors class, i'm definitely doing more than needed. it's going to suck so bad also with SAT's, SAT II's, PSAT'S, ACT's, ABC's, and 123's. Oh well, I wanted to push and challenge myself so here's my chance. (remember my AP goal...) At least I got my Eagle already...

W.bloggar software isn't working! It's back to the Blogger interface...oh well.

CURRENTLY:
mood: cannot...see...
watching: (star) trek uncut on TNN and Monsters Inc. (finally)(cool movie)
web:Deathclock.com Uses your b-day, age, gender to predict the day you'll croak. hillarious. SuperBad Strangest site i've ever seen (besides RentMyChest.com). you'll need to see it to know what i mean. also checking out homestarrunner.com (too much to type out), it's a cool online cartoon thingie.
Thoughts: Oh, PS: i'll probably be using my hecka slow celeron toshiba sattelite laptop tomorrow for tech club, so that doesn't count. hopefully i'll blog from there. After that see you in a few days to a week...

"SOMETIMES GOD CLOSES A DOOR IN OUR LIVES JUST TO OPEN ANOTHER ONE"

Well, it's final. I have lost. I concede defeat. Req. after req. has come up so I give up. Seems i'll be in high school for a long time...oh well.

Hey, but a good thing happened too. I heard if you pass 4-5 AP tests, you can enroll in most US colleges as a sophomore! YES!!! Now this is a new goal I will be working towards. Happy am I!

On another sad note, I must admit my sorrow for the public schools. I totally think that the ruling about the pledge was stupid and ridiculous. I encourage u, esp. christians, to stand up for what they believe is right, in a respectful way. It makes me almost ashamed to live in the west. (bc of the stupid liberal judges of the stupid 9th court...)

Today, our principal played Jonathan Edwards-type person giving a "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" type of annoucement this morning. It was amazing how loudly and seriously he could say SOMEDAY THOSE JUDGES WILL ANSWER TO THE HAND OF GOD. W O W... I can tell he was also outraged at the ruling. He really said it and was grateful that he runs a school that STILL can say the pledge in its entirety, STILL pray, STILL post the 10 commandments. My point is this:

WE NEED GOD IN AMERICA AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
WE NEED GOD IN AMERICA AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
WE NEED GOD IN AMERICA AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Currently:
mood: patriotic, or so it seems
Site of the moment: Grassfire.net - online petitions that are sent to Pres. Bush, Congress, and all the muy importante ppl. My dad signed it to help overturn the Boy Scouts bill. You need to be 18 to sign it, but its cool just to see what we're doing. Also there is the National Hymn petition, 10 commandments, internet porn, and anti-abortion petitions.

Expressive, amazing. Truly.

And you never thought THEY would have thought of it. I'm surfing the net today and I see this site called Interrobang. No, it's not a dirty site. It's a site that explains the origin of the punctuation point put after an emphasized rhetorical question.
QUOTE:
"The INTERROBANG was created to fill a gap in our punctuation system where writers often used typographically cumbersome and unattractive combinations of the question mark and exclamation mark to punctuate rhetorical statements where neither the question nor an exclamation alone exactly served the writer."

So i'm using an interrobang when i say "HOW ABOUT THAT?!" The site says it's actually been around since the 1960's. Unfortunately, I can't type an interrobang on this blog, but you'll understand it http://www.interrobang-mks.com/.

Now that CM is over i can have a life. missed ya'll at the snow trip!

and now MSIE is so screwed up that it types over the text when i try to add a sentence like this: the quick this sentence just erased lah.og. hate it when that happens. thank God for ctrl-z.

Currently:
mood: got a life?

non-geek activity: nothing
(maybe i don't quite have a life yet...)

well, today was quite interesting. i finally got a gps unit for my PDA so i'm working with that. it's a Magellan GPS complanion for the m500 series. it's cool except everyone complains about the rand mcnally software it comes with, so i'll probably end up shelling up another $50 for some new map software. the thing was dirt cheap though: $165 + $100 rebate @ amazon.com. well worth it too.

today was another ep day at school. like yesterday, seemed lazy. prob. because i had no homework. took a hecka EZ algebra test, a hecka EZ bible test. lunch came in which i had none, but for weights we're learning about nutrition so we went out to eat at fresh choice, ymm....after it was "the class", but we watched a cool italian movie.

other school news: got my PLAN results back, they claim i'm @ 99%ile on most subjects, expected to score a 28-32 on the ACT, and i'm unknown about the field career they recommend. I put engineer./tech., based on the choices on the test they came back with Region ?. (really). in the world of college-high school battles, no news, parents may fight, may not, won't matter since i am 99% sure i can't graduate early. we'll find out by mon. when course selection happens.

i've been asked to update SOS @ http://members.truepath.com/seekingoursavior , so i'll be undertaking that project for the next few days.

DAH!! (my word for BLAH and DARN) DAH!! CM in T-3 days and counting!!! songs sound like noise!!! need to practice!

THE GOOD, BAD, AND THE UGLY!!!!!!

Today was a mixed day. Both good and bad stuff happened (mostly bad though). First, i'll give you the long, exhaustive list of good stuff.

I finished all my homework.
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
and i finished all my homework.
...
Okay, now that were through with that, onto the depressing stuff.

So I walk into school ready to do devos in front of the whole school. It's all cool, everything's set. Everything goes smooth until I walk back into class and the first thing my teacher says is GREAT JOB SCOTT __(not my last name)__. Unfortunately, it seems that the guy doing announcements got me mixed up with another Scott, a junior, and chinese!! aiyah!!! it was all good until that moment!!! seems like eveyone mixes us 2 up. even the librarian did that earlier, lots of other do that also...agh!!!! it's almost as worse as people coming up to me and saying KEVIN (my bro.).blah blah blah blah so on yeah... and i stand there and just nod my head like "yeah, ok." and think "what the heck are you talking about?" it's quite annoying and almost offensive. so begins the day...

I go through 2 periods doing nothing but playing around with ATT Lab's text-speech generator on the laptops. it's weird, but cool. then i go into my counselor's office. I want to go to DVC this summer and take USH b4 and after 1877. i'm hoping it counts as a year of APUSH or just USH @ VCS and also for college credit. my counselor looks at it and basically goes "won't count for credit here and i doubt dvc will let you in" Nice word of encouragement. it seems that since we already have USH @ vcs, it won't count 4 high school credit. my argument is that public schools which are bigger and badder than vcs have USH and are encouraging the class! also, a junior @ vcs was it the same situation, and her parents got my counselor to count the course! i heard that my counselor always says no at first and that u just need a higher custodian figure person to put on more pressure. unfortunately my parents are now confused and i'm confused, it's like they're for me and against me. what do i do? keep fighting or just give it up and take the + - 3 classes i'll have in sr. year? i'm losing all hope man! seems like i'm losing! =(

Okay, need to spit out as much info as possible in 10 minutes because after that, I'll be doing homework, cramming for piano, and believe or not, breathing all at the same time. Here we go:

So i go to skool today (need to shorthand to save time) and find out that all my other classmates are going to monterey for bio. it's all cool, right? my frien, who's class chaplain asks me to do devos for him tomorrow. sounds like no prob, right? well, it's actually devos for the whole school, in a loudspeaker. WHOA, awesome! so i need to find a verse pronto and blab about it for 10 secs.

i'm still thinking about the weekend, and how it really influenced me. evolution is so random, how could they think of it. it's so random that the chance of it happening is the chance of filling the universe with quarters, marking one red, blindfolding u, and finding it. so random. and the design of nature is so intricate...wow...

darn, 6 more minutes....

today i made my website for tech club. it was only supposed to be a page, but i got bored. my advisor thought i was like carzy, but it's ok. visit it at http://members.truepath.com/scottietales/techclub. speaking of site, i'm still searching for another webhost.

ok, this week is going to stink so bad. i'm fretting over CM this sat. got lots of pieces, didn't memorize one of them, been cheating in the textbook for answers to the practice test, heck, i'm not even practicing. need to cram for it. i'm playing a scarlatti, beethoven, chopin, and putz. aiyah

crap, 2 more min....

i'm still wondering what i should do this summer. i either go to fair, which i get paid $550 for 13 days, 6 hrs/day, or i take summer classes. my teach just told us that we couldn't take summer classes AND she told us of a former student who couldn't graduate early despite only having one bible class. (sounds familiar, eh?) so i'll have to see, aghhh. stupid skool, stupid gray davis...

ROCKIN' THE DAY AWAY

Today was such a great day. No, I still have homework and much piano cramming left. But today I went to my church's Creation seminar. It was cool. never learned so much in my life. God truly did make everything unique.

The most amazing thing the speaker said was not about creation vs. evolution. It was about rock music! Besides the fact that it's loud and puts me to sleep, it's puts you into a state of consciousness with the demonic realm! How you say? All music has 3 parts: the melody, the harmony, and the rhythm. Melody deals with our heart, harmony with our mind, and rhythm with the flesh. Music must have a balance of these 3. A imbalance of these 3, #1. sounds terrible, and #2. if it's all rhythm, then guess what we're dealing mostly with? the flesh! and guess who acts on the flesh? SATAN!!! (another thing, waving your hands like many ppl do @ a rock concert is a new age action). i kno it's hard to understand, the speaker says it much better. you'll need to talk to me for an explanation. Now I know why I hate rock music and why it's bad. Now I understand why neither my parents nor my church endorses even CHRISTIAN rock bands. it's not necessarily the message but the style of music. I learned that once @ a rock concert, the lead singer passed out a paper and had everyone sign it. it ended up, it WAS A CONTRACT OF SUBMISSION TO THE DEVIL! EVIL!!! SATAN!!!!! AHH!!!!!!

I learned so much today, about why Muslims don't believe in the same god we do, how Pokemon, Disney, and Ninja Turtles all have content that helps you enter into the demonic realm. It was so interesting, now I am more aware of how much evil there is, that I should watch out, and that I will NEVER, EVER TAKE IT LIGHTLY ANYMORE.

On another note: visit my new site - http://members.truepath.com/scottietales/techclub
I made it for my school's tech club. I promise my personal site is coming, as soon as I can find a better webhost.
